For the sleek user interface, Silatus chose Uppy—a modular, open-source JavaScript file uploader that integrates seamlessly with local and remote sources like Dropbox or Instagram. And beyond time savings, this integration also provided financial benefits.
Had we developed a custom file upload solution in-house, it would have taken us four sprints—or two months. With Uppy, it only took a single sprint, or two weeks. For an in-house file processing pipeline, we would have needed an additional three sprints—or one-and-a-half months. Transloadit reduced that to a single sprint, two weeks from investigation to production. Also, using a third-party service for virus scanning and file conversions would have cost twice as much as what Transloadit offers.”
